Hi all,

after I bought the transistor t2 for yampp7 (wich is in list as bc817), I saw it as a bc847 in the schematic. Wich transistor is the right one?

It's not important. The BC817 is often used as the the SMD version of the BC847 (or 547).

If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons ?

Hi i'm planning to build the yampp7. After looking on the Homepage and studying the shematics, i've got a question:

Whats the reason for installing the transistor T2?

If i do not want to install the backlight  theres no need to connect the atmega with J2, and if i want to install the backlight then i should remove T2 (in regard to Eric GuĂ©rard's Manual). So i can't see any reason for installing the transistor?

So if someone could explain to me why to install this trancistor it would be very kind.
