The reason you hear no news, is because there is no news.
I've had problems getting the alu enclosures made, because the initial price I was told soared to 5 times that, making it a loss to sell the players, even at the regular price at $132. Therefore, I've been looking for alternatives, or rather, the design company that designed the box did.
Alternatives has been found, a plastic enclosure could be made in China for just a few $, but I promised you aluminum and that's what you'll get.
Just today, I was told they found a cheaper manufacturer that can make the boxes as originally intended, although for a somewhat hgher price than we first planned. This wont affect the price of the pre-orders though, but the normal price will go up about $10.
I have told them to go for it and make 100 enclosures, but I have no delivery date yet. First, we also need them to do a single box to verify the latest changes after we made the SLS version.
As soon as I have info, I'll post it here.
If anyone want to cancel your pre-order, just let me know and I'll refund your payment.
