MP3 Converter
« on: 29.08.2003 at 15:49:04 »
Hi there

does someone know a converter to turn one MP3 formatted file into another ?
or a link to that ? (HA HA P.B.)

<< eg turn avg 250 VBR file into 128 k file >>

i do know there is always a loss but i do not like to always have to reconvert from mp3 to wav and encode back again ......

resaons/applications:

1) having many goof VBR files yampp cannot play (bitrate too high)
2) sometimes want to mail away a mp3 in low quality as demo

LAME - http://lame.sourceforge.net. The best MP3 encoder/decoder/converter. GPL license.

The difficult we do today; the impossible takes a little longer.

thanx gall,

i always use lame for encoding ...

but as i am a lazy one - i am looking for a "in one go" solution .... (decode&reencode "at once")

MIC's tip is fine .. it works (thx) but unfortunately it is shareware (costly registration needed ..)
