As there is a need for some shining up and fixes ... what issues are in your opinion - most important ?
I have to admit i lost track a bit about your wishes ;-)

I hope (!) to find some spare time by the end of january .....


what i already have on my list:

1) repair playlength calculation (-> thx nilrog)
2) see if i can get that transfer dll issue to work (MIS)
3) XP Screen issue (Halfwalker)

Hi -

I'm new to Yampp and Yampplink, so bear with me if I'm mistaken here.  As I understand it, you can use the normal RDWR dll to talk via the com port to the yampp.

You can also use the "other" RDWR dll to be able to talk directly to the CF card in a reader attached to the PC.  That's kind of a pain, having to switch dlls all the time.

How about combining the functionality, so you don't have to switch ?

As you know, I'm working with Jim and Roger on a front-end for ylink. As I'm using Python/wxWindows, it will run under Linux, Winxx and MacOS.

I don't have all the time I want to work on it, but it as already some nice features. I hope to be able to show something soon.

Uli, I just wanted to ask you if you plan to add the <ORPHAN> playlist, as we told a few weeks (months ?) ago ? I added it as playlist number 1, just after the <TOTAL> playlist number 0. Like this last, it is generated automatically by the front-end, and not by ylink or yampp firmeware.

yes - why not - that seems to be a proper idea

When transferring files without tags in them, yL gives a warning and stops the transfer of files, how about an option to continue with the transfer but with tag info set to "unknown"?

Or at least continue with the transfer of songs which do contain valid tags.

(I know I'm just lazy and ought to tag the files, but sometimes you don't notice that they aren't tagged and your in a hurry....)
