What are the diferences between the MMC and SD?  ???

On my PPC I have SD card and I hoped to use this card, not to by a new CF card.  :(

I see... so I have to try...

I have asked about the internal oscilator because they are not so stabile (as far as I know)  ??? and I do not figure out how much that will afect the real time comportament of firmware. (I did not read all the code... yet  :P )

Very nice and very clear!

In ATMega162 DataSheet at page 256 we can see that with a cystal >8.000 we can use only ATMega162 and we have to use 4,5 - 5,5 supply.  :'(
(I have a lot of 15.000 crystals and no 4.000 :'()

Am I right MIS ? ???

What about the internal oscilator... do you recomand it? I have a ATMega162V and no chance to change it (thanks Jelu again for your help  :) )

.. the smoke was just a way of saying. the chip is a V version... so I'll look in the datasheet.  >:(

I had no ideea of this procedure used to reset the VS chip... so thank you again.

Any other suggestions?

Hello there.

I'm new with ATMEL chips and I'm still learning. I have some experince with TI's DSP so I hope to learn quick... with a litle help from you.

I read something about the crystal used with ATM162 in Mega162.txt file from the archive:
"I test it with 14.318MHz crystal ( I'm crazy ??? ) and work fine..."

OK. ... but I want to put a 15.000 crystal, am I crazy too ? Do you think that will work without any smoke ?

OK. So we succed to change the crystal on the board, but we do not have to make any change in the firmware? I take a look in the code ... but I had no luck. Any suggestions?

PS:
I try to do a yampp7, if it helps.
And I have another question:
    If we change the crystal from 4.000 to 12.288, dont we can use the one from VS chip? I mean one crystal for both chips.
